On 8 November 2021, TPG submitted a joint functional separation undertaking to the ACCC on behalf of itself and various subsidiaries in accordance with section 151C of the Telecommunications Act 1997. On 7 April 2022, the ACCC accepted TPG's joint functional separation undertaking which will come into force on 7 October 2022.

ARTC submitted its annual compliance documentation for calendar years 2019 and 2020 to the ACCC for assessment on 26 November 2021.

Regional mobile issues Communications Monitoring Ongoing

During the domestic mobile roaming declaration inquiry, the ACCC received submissions from many regional stakeholders regarding regional mobile issues, such as inadequate mobile coverage and coverage information. At the end of the inquiry, the ACCC released a separate paper Measures to address regional mobile issues, which discussed a number of measures which could improve outcomes for regional mobile consumers.

On 23 April 2020, the ACCC engaged GHD to conduct a Depreciated Optimised Replacement Cost (DORC) valuation of ARTC's Interstate network to determine the Regulated Asset Base (RAB).

The ACCC made the Telstra Customer Access Network record keeping rules in September 2007. Under the record keeping rules, Telstra reports the total number of voice and digital subscriber line (DSL) services that are in operation on Telstra’s legacy copper network.
