On 3 September 2021, Port of Portland Pty Limited applied to the ACCC to be determined an exempt service provider of port terminal services at its port terminal facility at Portland, Victoria. On 3 May 2022 the ACCC released a final determination document confirming that it has determined Port of Portland Pty Limited to be an exempt service provider of port terminal services at its Portland facility. The exemption was made by notifiable instrument.

The ACCC is required to report annually to the Minister for Communications on changes in the prices paid for telecommunications services in Australia. This report is a legislative requirement under s 151CM(1)(a) in Division 12 of Part XIB of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (the Act).
