On 7 November 2014, the ACCC commenced a public inquiry into varying the 2012 domestic transmission capacity service (DTCS) final access determination (FAD). On 17 December 2014, the ACCC concluded its inquiry into the variation of the 2012 DTCS FAD and released a final report. The ACCC has decided to vary the 2012 DTCS FAD so that it applies to the three regional routes and seven exchange serving areas re-regulated under the 2014 DTCS declaration. The varied 2012 DTCS FAD will commence on 1 January 2015 and will expire when a new DTCS FAD comes into operation. |

This inquiry considered whether the ACCC should vary the LCS and WLR service FADs to reflect the ACCC’s recent decision to remove the regulatory ‘carve outs’ for the central business districts of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. |
