The ACCC is undertaking the biannual collection and analysis of internet activity data through a new Internet Activity record keeping rule, under section 151BU of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, from the December 2018 reporting period onwards.

Regional mobile issues Communications Monitoring Ongoing

During the domestic mobile roaming declaration inquiry, the ACCC received submissions from many regional stakeholders regarding regional mobile issues, such as inadequate mobile coverage and coverage information. At the end of the inquiry, the ACCC released a separate paper Measures to address regional mobile issues, which discussed a number of measures which could improve outcomes for regional mobile consumers.

Telstra Customer Access Network record keeping rules Communications Monitoring Finalised

The ACCC made the Telstra Customer Access Network record keeping rules in September 2007. Under the record keeping rules, Telstra reports the total number of voice and digital subscriber line (DSL) services that are in operation on Telstra’s legacy copper network.
