This is the tenth interim report of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) inquiry into gas supply arrangements in Australia. The ACCC has continued its focus on the operation of the East Coast Gas Market, where there are immediate and longer-term concerns.
In 2017, the Australian Government directed the ACCC to conduct a wide-ranging inquiry into the supply of residential building (home), contents and strata insurance in northern Australia. This final report brings together all of our significant analysis and recommendations made throughout the three year inquiry, setting out in detail our analysis of the operation of the markets for home, contents and strata insurance in northern Australia.

The ACCC conducted a three-month inquiry into bargaining power imbalances in supply chains for perishable agricultural products in Australia. The inquiry examined trading practices throughout supply chains, including the relationships between farmers, processors, and retailers, and the extent to which any potential bargaining power imbalances in these relationships adversely impacted the efficient operation of these markets.
