The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is required to report annually on competition in the Australian telecommunications sector and price changes for telecommunications services in Australia.
These guidelines set out how the ACCC will interpret Part XICA of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (CCA) and they explain the general approach the ACCC will take in investigating alleged contraventions of Part XICA. They include a number of examples of the types of conduct that the ACCC considers are likely or unlikely to contravene Part XICA.
This report outlines breaches of the SSU for the period 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. The ACCC has prepared this report based on whether in its view, on the balance of probabilities, a breach of the SSU occurred.
