Cheryl Benson, proprietor of Dural Pharmacy Organisation No: B2003112 - s.87B undertaking

Dural Pharmacy distributed a letter to account customers by post. Among other things, the letter contained the representation "....we are obliged to add the GST of 10% on the outstanding amount, before any additional purchases are made."

The Commission was concerned that this representation may have led to customers to believe that the GST is payable on goods received prior to 1 July 2000 and GST is chargeable on goods which are GST free.

Dural Pharmacy has undertaken to send an apology letter to all account customers, run a corrective notice in the Hills News, and attend a Trade Practices Training Program.
