Signal, through Digital Discount Centre, promoted a mobile phone package. In addition to not stating the full cash price of the package, they made representations as to free access to voicemail and an Australia-wide flat rate contravening sections 52, 53(e) and 53C of the TPA. Signal undertakes to send a letter of apology, inform customers that they will receive $50 credit towards payment of their account, Signal will allow them to exit the contract, develop a compliance program having regard to the Australian standard, a complaints handling system and implemented within 3 months and remain in force for a minimum of 3 years.
