On 3 June 2025, Australia Post provided the ACCC with a price notification proposing price increases for its reserved ordinary letter services to apply from 17 July 2025.
The proposed changes included an increase in the basic postage rate for ordinary small letters delivered under the regular timetable by 13.3% (from $1.50 to $1.70). Australia Post’s proposal also included a 13.3% increase to the price of regular timetable delivery for ordinary large letters up to 125 grams (from $3.00 to $3.40), and for ordinary large letters over 125 grams up to 250 grams (from $4.50 to $5.10).
On 18 June 2025, the ACCC decided to not object to the proposed prices for notified services set out in Australia Post’s price notification.
