Greencross Pty Ltd (Greencross) proposes to acquire One Stop Pets Pty Ltd and D&R Pantalleresco Pty Ltd, trading as Habitat Pet Supplies (Habitat).
Habitat is a privately-owned and operated retailer of pet products and services with a network of five specialty pet retail stores in Melbourne, as well as an online store. It supplies a wide range of pet supplies including food, accessories, health products and pet services such as grooming and DIY dog washing facilities. Its retail stores are located at Altona North, Burwood, North Melbourne, Port Melbourne and Chirnside Park.
Greencross owns and operates specialty pet retail stores (through Petbarn and City Farmers retail banners), veterinary clinics and veterinary hospital businesses across Australia. Greencross also owns PetWise Pty Ltd, a wholesale distributor of pet and animal supplies, and Vepa Labs Pty Ltd (Vepalabs), a supplier of veterinary pathology and diagnostic equipment, devices and consumables for in-clinic use.
Greencross and Habitat both supply pet food, pet accessories, pet health products and pet services.
