The ACCC investigated the links between ComfortDelGro and Cabcharge and considered whether these would provide incentives for ComfortDelGro to operate Swan Taxis in a manner which would benefit Cabcharge to the detriment of competition in the relevant markets.The ACCC concluded that a substantial lessening of competition in the relevant markets was unlikely to arise as ComfortDelGro's interest in Cabcharge would not be likely to prevent Cabcharge's rivals from competing to supply Swan Taxis post-acquisition.
