Competition analysis
The ACCC considered that the acquisition was unlikely to result in a substantial lessening of competition due to:- the relative low market share of the merged firm;
- the relative low barriers to entry for the manufacture and supply of masterbatch; and
- the potential for imports to act as a competitive constraint.
