About this register

From 1 January 2026 a mandatory merger control regime commenced. Search the acquisitions register to find acquisitions under consideration in the mandatory merger control regime and our decisions. 

The ACCC no longer conducts informal merger reviews. The informal merger review process allowed merger parties to seek our view on whether a proposed merger or acquisition is likely to substantially lessen competition.

This register contains a record of all public informal merger reviews considered by the ACCC until 31 December 2025.

Each entry includes indicative timelines and a summary of the transaction and the outcome of the ACCC’s review. There is also a register of statements of issues and public competition assessments.
