On 21 September 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), to PayPal Australia Pty Ltd (PayPal) in relation to its obligations under the CDR Rules to provide multiple account selection functionality for business accounts which are bundled with its Enterprise View interface, and its obligations under the CDR Rules to share consumer data for closed accounts that were previously bundled with its Enterprise View interface until 21 September 2028.

On 7 September 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) to Bank of Queensland Limited (BOQ) deferring certain product reference data and consumer data sharing obligations under the CDR Rules (as specified in the exemption instrument) in respect of all accounts it issues in relation to StrataCash Management Pty Ltd until 7 September 2028.

On 7 September 2023, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted Discover Energy Pty Ltd (Discover Energy) an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) from specific consumer data sharing obligations under Part 1 and all of Part 4 of the Competition and Consumer (Consumer Data Right) Rules 2020 (CDR Rules).

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has accepted a court enforceable undertaking from Hornet Industries Pty Ltd (Hornet Industries) in relation to resale price maintenance conduct within the meaning of sections 96(3)(b), 96(3)(c), and 96(3)(f) of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA), that was likely to contravene section 48 of the CCA.
