On 24 March 2014, AGL Energy Limited (AGL) applied to the Australian Competition Tribunal (the Tribunal) for merger authorisation pursuant to section 95AU of the Competition and Consumer Act (the CCA) to acquire the assets of Macquarie Generation (the application).
Declared service The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission declares pursuant to section 152AL(3) of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (the Act) that the Domestic Transmission Capacity Service (DTCS) is a "declared service" for the purposes of Part XIC of the Act.
