Exemption for Shift Financial Pty Ltd and Shift Finance Australia Pty Ltd

On 8 July 2025, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) to Shift Financial Pty Ltd and Shift Finance Australia Pty Ltd, deferring each entity’s product data sharing obligations until 13 July 2028 and each entity’s consumer data sharing obligations until 10 May 2029. The ACCC granted the exemptions in response to an application from Shift Financial Pty Ltd, made on behalf of itself and its subsidiary, Shift Finance Australia Pty Ltd.
