Summary
On 9 December 2025, pursuant to section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted:
- time-limited exemptions to Pepper Money Ltd and Pepper Asset Finance Pty Ltd, deferring each entity’s consumer data sharing obligations until 30 June 2028, and
- a permanent exemption to Pepper Money Ltd in respect of legacy white label residential mortgage loan and personal loan products.
The ACCC granted the exemptions in response to an application from Pepper Money Ltd, made on behalf of itself and its subsidiary, Pepper Asset Finance Pty Ltd.
