Summary
In order to promote the provision to HCF's members of acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine treatments to a safe and reliable standard, and efficiency in HCF's claims handling procedures for such treatments, HCF proposes from 1 July 2012 to:
1. recognise acupuncturists and Chinese herbal medicine practitioners, and
2. pay benefits to or on behalf of its members for acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine treatments provided by those acupuncturists and Chinese herbal medicine practitioners,
on the condition that the acupuncturists and Chinese herbal medicine practitioners belong to a professional association which complies with Rule 10 of the Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2011 and/or such other criteria as HCF may determine from time to time.
1. recognise acupuncturists and Chinese herbal medicine practitioners, and
2. pay benefits to or on behalf of its members for acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine treatments provided by those acupuncturists and Chinese herbal medicine practitioners,
on the condition that the acupuncturists and Chinese herbal medicine practitioners belong to a professional association which complies with Rule 10 of the Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2011 and/or such other criteria as HCF may determine from time to time.
