Transport Workers Union of Australia SA/NT Branch

Summary

On 21 June 2022, the Transport Workers' Union of Australia SA/NT Branch (TWU) applied for authorisation on behalf of its owner-driver members. Authorisation is sought for the owner-drivers contracted to Toll Transport Pty Ltd (Toll Priority) to bargain collectively with Toll Priority, with the assistance of the TWU, for the purpose of establishing new contractual arrangements for the supply of freight courier services.

Interim authorisation is also sought to enable the TWU to commence collective bargaining, but not enter into any contracts, while the substantive application is being assessed.

The ACCC granted authorisation A91514 to the TWU for similar conduct for three years on 4 February 2016.
