Summary

The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia (APESMA) seeks re-authorisation of its arrangements to collectively negotiate on behalf of, and advise, translators and interpretors, in relation to their terms of engagement, rates of pay, and other terms of contracts for service. Re-authorisation is sought for five years. APESMA's existing authorisation (A91402) expires on 26 June 2019. The ACCC will consider whether to grant interim authorisation to APESMA to allow it to continue the arrangements while the ACCC considers its substantive application.

The ACCC will progress its assessment of the application in a timely manner. An indicative timetable is set out below for your information.
