Description of Conduct
Tabcorp VIC Pty Ltd is seeking authorisation to extend an agreement with Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) concerning RWWA’s participation in the SuperTAB pool. Authorisation was originally granted to another entity in the Tabcorp group in 2012 (authorisations A91323-91328) and the ACCC re-authorised the arrangements (A91528, A91535 and A91536) on 3 June 2016, until 15 August 2024.
Authorisation is sought for 2 years, until 15 August 2026.
Tabcorp also sought interim authorisation to enable the status quo to continue beyond 16 August 2024 while the ACCC considers the application. On 14 August 2024, the ACCC granted interim authorisation.
The ACCC invites views of interested parties on the substantive application for authorisation. Submissions in response to the substantive application are requested by 6 September 2024.
