TAB Agents Association of New South Wales - Revocation and Substitution - A91430

Summary

On 22 May 2014, the TAB Agents Association of New South Wales, on behalf of its current and future members, applied for a revocation and substitution of its current authorisation to engage in collective bargaining conduct with TAB Limited, a subsidiary of TAB Holdings Limited (Tabcorp):

(a) in relation to the terms and conditions of the provision of services by members to Tabcorp, and
(b) in relation to the resolution of disputes between more than one of its members and Tabcorp.

Authorisation is sought for a further 5 years, and authorisation is not sought for any collective boycott. Interim authorisation has been requested as the existing authorisation expires on 18 July 2014.

On 17 July 2014 the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to reauthorise the arrangements for ten years. A copy of the draft determination is available by following the links below.

On 17 July 2014 the ACCC also granted interim authorisation to the arrangements, commencing immediately.

On 13 August 2014, the ACCC decided to re-authorise the TAB Agents Association of New South Wales to collectively negotiate the terms and conditions of service with TAB Limited (Tabcorp) and to participate in the resolution of disputes between more than one of its members and Tabcorp. The collective bargaining arrangement is re-authorised until 30 September 2024.
