Summary
Retirees WA (Inc)(RWA) has sought renewal of its authorisation (A91015) allowing for reduced cost pre-paid funerals to be agreed to between the RWA and members of the Western Australian Funeral Directors' Association (WAFDA members) and between RWA and non-WAFDA funeral directors (Independent Funeral Directors).
On 16 February 2012, the ACCC proposed to grant authorisation for ten years. RWA also requested interim authorisation from the period its current authorisation expires (29 March 2012). Interim authorisation was granted by the ACCC and this decision was also released on 16 February 2012.
The ACCC has issued a determination granting authorisation until 4 May 2022.
