Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) seeks revocation of authorisation AA1000405 and substitution of an authorisation allowing an amended management services agreement to be given effect for a period of 10 years, to coincide with the expiration of the amended management services agreement. The management services agreement, which was the subject of ACCC authorisation AA1000405, between RWWA and TSG Wagering (which was previously William Hill Australia and is a subsidiary of CrownBet/BetEasy) has been novated and received amendments extending its term to 30 December 2028, implementing internal changes and reflecting changes in legislation.
On 19 July 2018 the ACCC issued a draft determination and interim authorisation to RWWA, TSGW and CrownBet (now called as BetEasy) to give effect to all the provisions of the Amended 2012 Agreement as it stood on 19 July 2018. The draft determination contains a typographical error in paragraph 6.10 and the date should have read ‘19 July 2018’.
On 31 August 2018 the ACCC issued a determination granting authorisation until 30 December 2028.
