Paintback Limited (Paintback) on behalf of itself and the participating paint suppliers


Paintback Limited (Paintback, formerly known as Paint Stewardship Limited) on behalf of itself and participating paint suppliers, is seeking reauthorisation for the Paintback scheme.

The ACCC previously granted authorisation to Paintback and participating paint suppliers to impose a $0.15 per litre levy to the cost of certain architiectual and design paints, and woodcare products (collectively, A&D paint) to fund the Paintback scheme and its collection and disposal activities. This conduct has been authorised until 1 June 2021.

The applicants are seeking a new authorisation for the authorised conduct for an additional 10 years, commencing at the conclusion of the current authorisation.

The ACCC invites submissions from interested parties in relation to the application. Submissions are invited by 5 February 2020. Details on how to make a submission are available below, along with a copy of the application.

The ACCC will progress its assessment of the application in a timely manner. An indicative timetable is set out below for your information.
