Description of Conduct
The Clean Energy Council (CEC) seeks authorisation of a voluntary code of conduct for solar PV (photovoltaic) retail business. The proposed code of conduct deals with matters relating to the marketing and sale of solar PV systems. Its purpose is to ensure retailers maintain a standard that will benefit consumers and the industry. Authorisation has been sought for 5 years.
On 4 July 2013, the ACCC released a draft determination proposing to grant Clean Energy Council Ltd authorisation for five years.
Submissions and requests for a pre-decision conference with respect to the draft determination are due on 18 July 2013.
On 25 September 2013, the ACCC granted authorsation to CEC for five years.
