Consumer information on closure of Dick Smith Holdings

Dick Smith Holdings Ltd was a large electrical goods retailer, that operated approximately 390 stores under four brands, Dick Smith, Electronics powered by Dick Smith, Move and Move by Dick Smith. Ferrier Hodgson acting as the receiver advised the stock exchange on 25 February 2016 that the company is to be liquidated.

The ACCC has granted re-authorisation to the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) on behalf of its current and future members to collectively bargain with participating suppliers for ten years.

The ACCC has issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation to TLS Association Pty Ltd & TLA Australia Ltd for ten years to collectively negotiate on behalf of its Telstra Licensed Shops and/or Telstra Business Centres members with suppliers of products and services to these members.
