The ACCC has granted interim authorisation to allow RWWA to make and give effect to the six identified provisions in an Agreement with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Horse Race Betting Limited, and make and give effect to the six identified provisions in an Agreement with HKJC Club Horse Race Betting Limited.

ACCC authorises Melbourne councils to undertake joint tendering for organic waste processing services

The ACCC has issued a determination authorising the Metropolitan Waste Management Group, Knox City Council, Maroondah City Council, Yarra Ranges Shire Council, Manningham City Council and Whitehorse City Council to undertake a joint tender and contract process for the supply of organic waste processing services.

ACCC approves changes to Emerald’s wheat port access undertaking

The ACCC has consented to Emerald Logistics Pty Ltd’s application to extend and vary its 2013 wheat Port Terminal Services Access Undertaking. The 2013 Undertaking governs access to port terminal services at Melbourne Port Terminal and is currently set to expire on 30 September 2014.

Textiles recalled after tests for azo dyes

ACCC tested common clothing and textile goods for specific dyes used in the manufacturing process. The ACCC found a small number contained unacceptable concentrations of certain azo dyes, which are known to break down to carcinogenic compounds called aromatic amines.

ACCC has granted authorisation to Perth councils for joint waste tender

The ACCC has decided to grant authorisation until 28 August 2020 to the Cities of Wanneroo, Joondalup and Swan to jointly procure, negotiate and contract for the supply of services to process dry commingled recyclables collected by them through their yellow lid kerbside collection service.
