ACCC grants authorisation to Singapore Airlines Limited and Deutsche Lufthansa AG

The ACCC has granted authorisation for five years to Singapore Airlines Limited and Deutsche Lufthansa AG and their respective passenger airline subsidiaries to coordinate their operations pursuant to a Joint Venture Framework Agreement.

Ban on excessive payment surcharging

The Competition and Consumer Amendment (Payment Surcharges) Act 2016 commenced on 25 February 2016. The Act inserts a new part into the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA) which bans excessive payment surcharges.
