Interim report27 Sep 2024
On 27 September 2024, the ACCC released its interim report for the supermarkets inquiry. The interim report outlines what the ACCC has heard from consumers, suppliers and other interested parties at the halfway point of the 12-month inquiry.
The interim report draws on information gathered through stakeholder submissions, responses to the ACCC’s consumer survey and feedback provided by perishable agricultural goods suppliers at roundtable discussions held in rural and regional Australia, and online.
The interim report identifies key issues and next steps for the second phase of the ACCC’s inquiry.

We invite feedback on the key issues set out in box 1.1 of the interim report, or any other aspect of the interim report, which we will consider before making findings or recommendations in our final report.
