On 1 April 2026, the ACCC released its 28th interim report of the ACCC’s inquiry into gas supply arrangements in Australia. The ACCC continues its focus on the operation of the east coast gas market.
This report provides updates on:
- the supply-demand outlook with a particular focus on Q3 2026
- gas prices agreed under long-term contracts in the last quarter of 2025, for volumes to be supplied in 2026 and 2027. Long-term contacts refer to gas supply agreements for supply of 12 months or longer.
It also reports on the ACCC’s review of the LNG netback price series.
