On 14 October 2019, the Treasurer directed the ACCC to conduct an inquiry into home loan pricing. The Treasurer directed that the inquiry cover the period from 1 January 2019.
On 25 May 2017, the Australian Government directed the ACCC to conduct a wide-ranging inquiry into the supply of home, contents and strata insurance in Northern Australia.
On 26 August 2020, the Australian Government announced that it will direct the ACCC to conduct a three-month inquiry into bargaining power in supply chains for perishable agricultural products in Australia.
