Weekly fuel price monitoring update
We're giving weekly updates on fuel price monitoring during the current Middle Eastern conflict.
Weekly updates include the latest movements in crude oil prices, international refined fuel benchmarks, and domestic wholesale and retail fuel prices in Australia’s capital cities and more than 190 regional locations.
This week's update
We provide the latest retail price movements to 8 April, a week after the fuel excise cut came into effect.
The update also outlines the latest movements in crude oil, international refined fuel benchmarks, and domestic wholesale and retail fuel prices around Australia.
Average retail petrol prices in capital cities and many regional locations have largely reflected the fuel excise reduction. In the absence of the excise cut, retail diesel prices would likely have trended higher as a result of increases in international refined diesel prices.

- Australian Capital Territory: NSW Fuel Check website
- Northern Territory: MyFuel NT website
- Tasmania: FuelCheck TAS website and app
- South Australia: RAA SA website and app

- Queensland: Search for commercial fuel price websites and apps that are supported by data under the Queensland Government’s fuel price reporting arrangements.
