The ACCC has produced an overview of the draft advice. This overview explains the background to the water charge rules review and provides a brief explanation of the amendments to the water charge rules that the ACCC is proposing.
As part of the consultation for the review, the ACCC engaged researchers at the University of Adelaide to survey irrigators in the southern Murray-Darling Basin and produce the following report:
- University of Adelaide, Short survey of southern Murray-Darling Basin irrigators’ views on the review of the water charge rules
The views presented in this report are the authors’ and do not necessarily reflect those of the ACCC.
The purpose of the survey was to engage with stakeholders and inform the ACCC’s Final Advice and the proposed water charge rules. The report has been considered by the ACCC as part of its review.
