ACCC decision16 Oct 2024
On 16 October 2024, the ACCC released a decision to not object to Airservices Australia's proposed weighted average 6% price increase for its enroute, terminal navigation, and aviation rescue and fire fighting services, as set out in Airservices Australia’s 1 October 2024 formal price notification. The prices proposed in the formal price notification were consistent with the prices proposed by Airservices Australia in its 10 July 2024 amended draft price notification.
While the ACCC did not object to the proposed price increase, it identified several areas for improvement for future price notifications regarding Airservices Australia’s consultation processes and performance metrics.
Airservices submitted its pricing proposal to the Minister on 21 October 2024. On 30 June 2025, the Minister approved Airservices pricing proposal and the new prices took effect from 1 August 2025.
