Record keeping rules review 2025

On 5 December 2025, the ACCC published a final report outlining the findings of the Record Keeping Rule Review 2025, following public consultation on draft findings earlier this year. The final report is available below.

The ACCC has implemented some of these findings already, through amendments to the Audit of Telecommunications Infrastructure Assets and NBN Services in Operation record keeping rules. The ACCC plans to consult on implementing additional findings, namely the creation of two new record keeping rules, in 2026.

The ACCC thanks stakeholders that provided submissions to inform its review findings.
