On 3 July 2025, the ACCC published a consultation paper that outlines the draft findings from its 2025 review of record keeping rules for telecommunications carriers and carriage service providers. The consultation paper also proposed the extension of the existing NBN Services in Operation record keeping rule.
The ACCC sought stakeholder views on the benefits of improved reporting across markets, along with views on associated costs of implementing and maintaining the record keeping and reporting that we proposed.
Submissions in response to the consultation paper closed at 5:00 pm AEST on Friday 1 August 2025.
