Uniti joint functional separation undertaking

On 21 April 2024, Uniti gave the ACCC a proposed variation to its joint functional separation undertaking. Uniti also provided a submission supporting the proposed variation.

The proposed variation includes enhanced transparency measures and stronger commitments to separation between Uniti's retail and wholesale businesses, consistent with similar measures in the standard functional separation undertaking that the ACCC accepted from Myport Pty Ltd, trading as Gigafy, and the Telecommunications (Deemed Functional Separation Undertaking) Determination 2020.

On 24 April 2024, the ACCC issued a consultation paper inviting interested stakeholders to make submissions on the proposed variation by Friday 17 May 2024. The ACCC did not receive any submissions to the consultation paper.

On 28 May 2024, the ACCC accepted Uniti's proposed variation to its joint functional separation undertaking.
