Disclosure Direction for the NBN service quality and network performance Record Keeping Rule18 Dec 2024
On 18 December 2024 the ACCC issued NBN Co with a Disclosure Direction for the NBN service quality and network performance Record Keeping Rule (RKR) following consultation with NBN Co and other stakeholders.
The Disclosure Direction requires NBN Co to make the quarterly reports prepared under the Record Keeping Rule publicly available by providing them to the ACCC for publication. NBN Co’s Record Keeping Rule reports are to be accompanied by explanatory material which will outline:
- relevant calculations and methodology NBN Co use in reporting under the Record Keeping Rule
- any relevant significant changes in NBN Co’s commercial or operational arrangements that could reasonably be expected to influence the information contained in the Record Keeping Rule, and
- a glossary of terms used in the reports provided to the ACCC under the direction.
The Disclosure Direction is available below.
The ACCC can publish Record Keeping Rule reports subject to the Disclosure Direction 28 days from the date of making the Direction.
We expect to publish data from NBN Co’s first Record Keeping Rule report – for the September 2024 quarter – in February 2025 on the ACCC website. Data from subsequent reports will be published quarterly.
