Replacement module process under the current SAU: notice to NBN Co 7 Oct 2021
The ACCC is currently working with NBN Co and other industry participants to review the long-term regulatory arrangements for wholesale access to the NBN. This review may result in a variation to NBN Co's Special Access Undertaking (SAU). More information is available at: Review of NBN regulatory framework
While we undertake the broader review, the SAU will remain in place in its current form. Under the current SAU, the ACCC must provide NBN Co with 12 months written notice that it is required to submit a replacement module application. This marks the beginning of the transition from module 1 to module 2 of the current SAU. The notice to NBN Co and the supporting explanatory note are available below.
Notice to NBN Co and supporting explanatory note
On 20 September 2021, the ACCC sent a notice to NBN Co advising that it is required to submit a replacement module application to the ACCC before 30 September 2022. We have also provided a short explanatory note to set out the interactions with the broader regulatory framework review. Both documents are available on our website.
