Variation request19 Jun 2013
On 19 June 2013, the ACCC received a request for a formal variation of the digital radio access undertakings under section 118NH of the Radiocommunications Act 1992. On 3 July 2013, the ACCC began a consultation process in relation to the proposed variations under section 118NH(4) of the Radiocommunications Act 1992.
Withdrawal of variation
On 4 November 2013, the Licensees formally withdrew their proposed variation to the digital radio access undertakings.
Revised proposal for a variation of the digital radio access undertaking
On 7 November 2013, the Foundation Category 1 Digital Radio Multiplex Transmitter Licensees submitted a revised request for a formal variation of the digital radio access undertakings under section 118NH of the Radiocommunications Act 1992. The revised request intends to capture additional terms and conditions which the Licensees have agreed to incorporate in response to submissions received during the initial consultation process.
On 11 November 2013, the ACCC commenced a consultation process in relation to the proposed variations under section 118NH(4) of the Radiocommunications Act 1992.
Submission on revised variation request
On 18 November 2013, a submission was received from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia.
Final decision
On 19 December 2013, the ACCC accepted the variation to the digital radio access undertakings submitted by the Licensees on 7 November 2013.
