The ACCC is holding a public inquiry under Part 25 of the Telecommunications Act 1997 (Cth) about its proposal to make a final access determination for the domestic transmission capacity service (DTCS).
A final access determination is a written determination that may set out the terms and conditions for accessing specific declared services.
This inquiry follows the ACCC’s recent decision to extend the declaration of this service until 31 March 2029 following a public inquiry. The ACCC also extended the declarations of 6 other services following the same public inquiry.
In July 2024 the ACCC published a discussion paper seeking stakeholders views on the terms and conditions for access to the declared DTCS.
The ACCC is holding 2 other access determination public inquiries for those services:
- Voice interconnection services access determinations
- The mobile terminating access service
- The fixed terminating access service
- The fixed originating access service
- Resale fixed line services access determinations
- Wholesale line rental
- Local carriage service
- Wholesale ADSL
