Consultation on ACCC preliminary view10 Apr 2025

On 10 April 2025, the ACCC published a preliminary view proposing to not object to Australia Post’s proposed price increase for reserved ordinary letters.

In assessing the draft price notification, the ACCC found that Australia Post is not likely to recover revenue in excess of efficient costs for its reserved letter service - even with the proposed price increase.

The ACCC conducted a public consultation process between 10 April and 12 May 2025, during which we sought submissions from interested parties on the preliminary view.

The ACCC received 21 public responses during the consultation period. The public submissions are available on this page.
