Treasury released the exposure draft of the Competition and Consumer (Notification of Acquisitions) Determination 2025 for consultation on 28 March 2025. It includes proposed notification forms and proposes a short and long form for notification of acquisitions.

This document supplements the merger reform transition information and provides answers to some of the questions we've been asked.

Consultations

The ACCC is currently consulting on the draft assessment guidelines and draft process guidelines for the new merger regime. 

We are seeking your feedback and questions to help us improve the guidelines.
