A small number of businesses use unfair tactics to trick their customers or pressure them into buying goods or services they wouldn't otherwise buy.

This module tells you what you can and can't do when selling to customers, and it might help you spot another business's unfair practices.

The offences in this module attract penalties of up to the greater of $10 million, 3 times the value of the benefit received, or where the benefit cannot be calculated, 10% of annual turnover in the preceding 12 months for corporations and $500,000 for individuals (except multiple pricing, which carries a maximum penalty of $5,000 for a corporation and $1,000 for an individual).
