On 27 September 2024, the ACCC released its interim report for the supermarkets inquiry. The interim report outlines what the ACCC has heard from consumers, suppliers and other interested parties at the halfway point of the 12-month inquiry.

The interim report draws on information gathered through stakeholder submissions, responses to the ACCC’s consumer survey and feedback provided by perishable agricultural goods suppliers at roundtable discussions held in rural and regional Australia, and online.

Correction of statement made by CHATO International Pty Ltd

Following the publication of the interim report, CHATO International contacted the ACCC to request a correction to the representation of its position on unit pricing in the interim report. This correction is set out in the document below.
