This is the 25th interim report of the ACCC's inquiry into gas supply arrangements in Australia. The ACCC continues its focus on the operation of the east coast gas market.
This report focuses on the supply-demand outlook in quarter 4, 2025 and 2026 and recent prices offered and agreed for supply. It also provides an update on investment in long-term gas supply, examines the Queensland LNG producers’ role in the domestic market and their export operations, and provides preliminary observations on how the market has responded to regulatory changes implemented in 2022–23.
On 1 October 2025, the ACCC published the Gas inquiry September 2025 interim report. This report includes supplementary spreadsheets with report charts and data from the June and September 2025 interim reports, provided as appendices.
