The motor vehicle service and repair information sharing scheme is a mandatory scheme that came into effect on 1 July 2022. Under the scheme, all repairers have fair access to the information needed to service and repair vehicles. This industry guidance has been updated to help data providers comply with the motor vehicle information scheme.
Data providers may include car manufacturers, importers and distributors and other affiliates such as data aggregators, and are required to supply scheme information to repairers and registered training organisations at a price that does not exceed the fair market value.
