On 12 February 2025, the ACCC released a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation to Queensland Rail Limited and Aurizon Network Pty Ltd to jointly conduct a tender process for rail profiling services. The ACCC also revoked the existing interim authorisation and granted interim authorisation for a broader conduct.
The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation for 15 years.
The ACCC is now seeking submissions in response to the draft determination by 6 March 2025. Further details about the draft determination and interim authorisation decision, as well as information on how to lodge a submission, are available on the ACCC’s public register.
