On 4 March 2026, the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation to Countrywide Australasia Limited to enable it and its members, who are independent foodservice distributors, to collectively negotiate trade terms, including price, with suppliers.
The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation for a period of 5 years.
The ACCC is now seeking submissions in response to the draft determination by Friday, 20 March 2026, before making its final decision.
